CURRENCY

Currency is an important part of any functional society, and it is no different in the world of Avatar. Though, for the sake of simplicity, we will narrow it down to one form of currency accepted throughout the entire world; Gold.

Gold is used to buy things such as goods or services. Examples of these would include, items, weapons, armor, mounts, pets/familiars, lessons, assassinations, organizations, shops and so on and so forth.

There are three ways to get gold:

Missions- being the most common way.

Conversion- You are able to convert unused training points into gold. This uses the following ratio;   1:200  5:1200  10:3000

In Character trading- trading a good for a service. This can be determined entirely Ic, but the gold being given or received is 100% from someone’s IC bank.

Events- least common, but usually the most rewarding. Some events offer bountiful rewards of gold.

MISSIONS

There are several kinds of missions available in the world, each with a different general range of pay and difficulty.

Quest Missions: general requests from NPCs with a fixed gold amount.

Faction Missions: Missions given by a particular faction, such as the Fire Guard or Dai Li.

Bounty Missions: Missions with a fixed gold amount, that pertain to hunting and killing/capturing a staff controlled NPC/NPCs

Custom Missions: Missions created and “hosted” by someone IC. The pay for this can vary as it comes out of the “hosts” pocket. Once you make this, you must pay it, or you go into debt. Which leads to jail time.


PRICES/RARITY

The rarity of an item will determine its price or value for selling. The more rare an item, the higher its value when appraised by a mod. Now, obviously this will only apply to things that are acutally rare, and not just a sword your char made. It needs to be unique in more ways than just the way it looks, how does it function differently?

Common- These are normal items/weapons. They have no abnormal abilities or functions and are simple tools of their kind. Price Range: 500 - 1,000 gold.

Rare- These items are uncommon, but not too distant from what you would expect from said item. Price Range: 1,000 - 5,000 gold.

Exceptional- These items break away from what is normal for an item or weapon of their appearance, and have unique functions that break traditional usage norms. Price Range: 5,000 - 7,000 gold.

Legendary- These items are one of a kind, no other item in the world is like them, or they are the first of their kind to be created. These are the most powerful weapons or items you can possibly attain and are the highest standard for crafters. Price Range: 7,000 - 10,000+ gold.
