A Different Kind of King (Private)

Verrock had been resting in his secret chambers when he had been notified his guest had arrived. He knew that they were to arrive at this specific date and time. It was a simple audience with a leader of anothet nation, however this particular person piqued his interests. All the King knew was that he was a tribal leader and that information alone was shocking to Verrock. The water tribes tended to stay to themselves and hardly if not ever traveled far from their tribe. Furthermore this tribal leader himself was said to be of a similar age group to himself. The King had felt this audience would surely be interesting and he surely would make the most of his time with this tribal leader.

Knowing his guest had been waiting in the palace room Verrock had decided he would once again take his favorite entrace into the room. With slow and heavy movements the King would bend the earth around him causing his entire palace room to violently shake. From the guests point of view they would be able to see a large sqaure opening appear right in front of the kings throne.

With further bending Verrock would raise himself from out of the sqaure opening using the earth beneath him as a platform to raise himself to the ground level. The king himself was a rather large and bulky dark skinned human. He himself had been dressed in his normal attire. With only a standard white haori covering his upper body, his scarred and muscular chest has been put on display. Around his arms were large golden vambraces in addition to his favorite golden boar waistbelt. He would first take a seat in his throne before greeting his guest, this action would make it well known that he is the one and only king. He would be sure to speak in a very loud yet boisterous tone, just with his voice alone he could be able to unintentionally give a person a sense of oppression.

"Welcome!!! Hahaha! This King here is very pleased to finally be able to meet with a tribal leader of one of the water tribes. It is truly an honor might I say, I was beginning to think that the Water Tribes held a great grudge against my kingdom but it appears that they do not. However, it is hard to judge ones intentions just from an arrival alone. Might I ask who may you be? I know of your status however, I, King Verrock prefer to do introductions personally."

Verrock would stand up from his throne aftering ordering a few servants to recieve the gift Ryūnosuke had brought to the kingdom. He would then puff his chest proudly before jumping down from the raised platform that the throne was raised on. Now but a few feet from the tribal leader himself Verrock would flash a smile of true pride.

He was a king that truly did not care about formalities. Even with his informal way of dealings with things, who would dare go against him? He was a true king through and through, not some figurehead or puppet that a silent council could tell what to do. So with his very own intuition he would handle people with how he felt he should deal with them. Neither his guards or the members of his royal family would be able to tell him to do or how to handle a person. However there was one person that could wrangle the unruly nature of the proud king but he was generally lenient. "Haha! A Vacation! Brilliant! Us leaders deserve a break every now and again. Well my kingdom is a great place to come and unwind. There is a large assortment of things to enjoy in Ba Sing Se alone please feel free to enjoy such attractions free of charge. I am sure that once Kuro arrives hell bring along a title plate that allows my personal guests to roam around the kingdom as they see fit." Verrock was sure the Kuro would complain about giving a strange such a valuable thing as a title plate. But since the king had already promised to gift such a thing, how could even he object?

Verrock able to take note in Ryūnosuke defensiveness but it did not bother the king in the least. In fact it was to be expected. What idiot would fully trust someone? Not even Verrock fully trusted someone, he was only being carefree because he knew that his butler would assign his Dai Li agent to keep a close eye on the tribal leader. Knowing such things would happen it was easy for Verrock to exude this carefree nature of his. It was good to hear that the Northern Water tribe would reciprocate the hospitality, Verrock himself had never been there so, maybe it was worth it to make a trip there soon.

"Yes! Please relax I'll have someone set up a room for you here in the upper ring of Ba Sing Se if you would like. However before you depart to rest I would like to have a somewhat diplomatic discussion. It could wait until after you rest but since you're already here I was wondering if you would be up for a another little chat? Feel free to decline its just simple matter about the state of the non benders within the Water Tribes."

He was very late. He didn't mean it to be this way, but the cook was slow and he then got the wild request of a title plate which made him even later. An annoyance to be sure, but nothing that Kuro couldn't handle. After all, he was a super butler. He was fast, strong, and had some skill in relation to earth-bending. Something most normal people couldn't say!

Not that he'd often say that, since it'd likely irrate the ever-gracious Earth King. Nonetheless, Kuro would soon enough appear in the room, carrying a plate that had a wine bottle and two cups. He was only told by others that there was someone visiting, not who. Not that it mattered, this was just a friendly gesture from the Earth King and his Butler that he'd do this.

Kuro appeared, wearing the normal green tunic associated with the Earth Kingdom, and a smile on his face.

He'd stop once he was next to the guest.

"Would you like a drink, esteemed guest?"

Verrock noticed the subtle sense of Ryunosuke wanting to dodge his questions about the state of the non benders in the water tribe. The king would decide not to push the tribe leader for now although Verrock himself truly did want to know the answer. Him avoiding to answers a few simple questions already lead Verrock to believe that even the water tribes who were deemed one of most peaceful nations were having their own issues with the population of non benders. Sooner or later the leaders of each nation would have to meet and discuss ways on dealing with these matters. If things were just ignored or put aside as they were just now surely something tragic would occur. But now Verrock would put such political matters aside. His guest was here for a vacation so it was only wrong that Verrock was asking him to participate in work. Seeing Kuro arrive a larger smile would appear on Verrock's face then the one that was already there.

"Ah how rude of me. I dare to talk political matters when you are hear to have a break from such issues. Such a conversation can be had whenever I make my way to the northern tribes... For now let me formally introduce you to my most trusted aide and friend Kuro. Kuro this is the leader of the Northern Water Tribe, Ryūnosuke Himura. Please be sure to coordinate with Ryūnosuke's guards, I would like to take an trip to the water tribes to discuss some political matters shortly after the northern tribal leader returns home." Verrock was sure to be loud and clear on his intentions, he needed to know the state of the water tribes non benders population. It was something of the utmost importance. He had already known that the Fire Nation were having difficulties with non benders, however in regards to the Air Nomads and the Water Tribes such things were unknown. While Verrock himself tended to be a king that enjoyed to do whatever he wanted he always would keep the nation and its people in the front of his mind at all times. Even if it meant that he had to be a little bit imposing onto the leaders of other nations.
